The Kogi Central Media Practitioners Association, KOCEMPA hails Governor Ododo’s supreme court victory

The Kogi Central Media Practitioners Association (KOCEMPA) has congratulated the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo over his Victory at the apex court which affirmed him as the duely elected governor of the state.

In a statement by the, acting President and Secretary of the Association, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka and Alhaji Ibrahim Obansa, respectively, commended the justices of the supreme court for upholding the truth and the wishes of the people of Kogi State.

“The supreme court ruling is just an affirmation of the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kogi State. The governor won overwhelmingly across the three senatorial districts of the state. This is a clear sign of his acceptability. Let us all pocket our myopic tendencies and embrace centripetal factors that will take the state to a greater height” they advocated

They noted that the judiciary has once again demonstrated it’s impartiality in the well delivered judgment, saying that the people are happy with the transparent manner the case was handled.

KOCEMPA noted with satisfaction the untiring effort of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, towards uniting the people of the state for the good of all.

They said the overwhelming support the Governor secured in the November 11 governorship election in the state, across the three senatorial districts had shown clearly that he is the most acceptable candidate among other contestants

The group said the intervention of Governor Ododo led government in critical areas such as security, health, education, ethnic and religious harmony as well as agriculture, youth and women empowerment, consolidation on the gains of the immediate past administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello and the provision of critical infrastructure, just few months in office is an indication that he was prepared for the job.

They called on the opposition to join hands with the governor to move the State forward.
