Terrorism Allegation: Finnish Govt Freezes Simon Ekpa’s Assets, Moves IPOB’s Factional Leader to ‘Toughest Prison’

The Government of Finland has frozen all the assets acquired by the self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa.

Ekpa was earlier arrested by the Finnish authorities over allegation of terrorism and instigating violence with his social media channels.

The Biafra agitator came to limelight after the arrest of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya by INTERPOL.

However, in a swift move, the authorities froze Ekpa’s assets and that of four of his accomplices who were arrested by the police.

A report by Yle, a local newspaper, said Ekpa is being held in Kylmäkoski Vankila (Kylmäkoski Prison) in Finland.

The Kylmäkoski Prison is known to be one of the world’s toughest prisons and a high-security facility which is located in Vanhamaantie, Akaa, Finland.
