Super Eagles now to play two matches against Algeria

The Super Eagles will now face the Desert Foxes of Algeria in two friendly matches this month.

Jose Peseiro’s charges will tackle a mainly home-based side at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium, Constantine, on Friday, September 23.

Algeria’s home-based team are preparing for the 2023 African Nations Championship, which will be staged in the country.

The home-based Super Eagles were initially expected to take on Algerians in the game.

The three-time African champions will then face the Desert Foxes four days later at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium, Oran.

The team opened camp in Constantine on Monday ahead of the friendlies.

Eighteen players are already in camp, with more players expected on Tuesday.
