Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi insists the team knows the importance of Thursday’s encounter against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles are under pressure to win the game after they drew their first game against Equatorial Guinea.
Ajayi reckoned that the team knows what is at stake and can’t afford to lose against the hosts.
”We know what’s at stake, is either we win or put ourselves under more pressure,” the West Brom defender told newsmen in Abidjan.
“We have put the first game behind us and the focus now is to beat Cote d’Ivoire.
“Everyone is looking forward to the game and our fans can be sure we will do our best out there.”
The encounter slated for the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan will kick-off at 6pm Nigerian time.
