Sowore joins protest in Aba for release of Nnamdi Kanu

‎Former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has joined an ongoing protest in Aba, Abia state, demanding the release of the jailed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

‎News sighted a video circulating online, showing Sowore in the midst of protesters.

‎A coalition of supporters of the convicted IPOB leader had recently indicated plan to stage a protest in Aba to demand his release.

‎The planned demonstration, organised under the banner of the Coalition of Lovers of Freedom, has been tagged a “One Million March”.

‎Recall that Kanu was convicted of terrorism charges by a court, which subsequently sentenced him to life jail.
