Southern Kaduna Group queries Gov Uba Sani for collecting donations and expecting help from FG

The Southern Kaduna for Peace and Unity Forum has condemned what it alleged as the “utterly selfish” attitude of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani who is pressurizing the Federal Government to provide infrastructure for Tudun Biri community that suffered bomb attack recently.

Coordinator of the group, Silas Danjuma made the group’s position known at a press conference in Barnawa on Tuesday.

“The whole world knows that the Governor has got N109m Senate members December Salary as donation, N460m from House of Reps members and N58m from Northern Caucus of the Senate. He also got undisclosed millions from Elrufai and Kano’s 14 Emir Sanusi Lamido recently. But now he is putting so much pressure on President Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima to come and help the community with roads, electricity, schools and hospitals. What is the use of the millions of naira worth of donation he was first given?” The group queries.

It called on “people who are close to the governor to advise him properly and not encourage him to gather money, keep it aside and be waiting for Federal Government”.

Silas also challenged the Governor to tell the world how much money the State Government has donated to the community, “to help them settle down first”.

He called on the donors to “monitor the state government closely because of their hard-earned millions of naira donation, meant for helping the poor, innocent victims of a tactical error”.
