Social critic, Ahmed kicks against negotiating with bandits

A public commentator, Alhaji Ahmed Bakare has warned the governments not to engage in any form of reconciliation or negotiation with bandits.

Speaking with newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, Bakare noted that any money given to the bandits in the name of reconciliation would be used in purchasing sophisticated weapons.

“These criminals have been mercilessly destroying innocent people’s lives for selfish interest and the governments and security chiefs are watching without doing anything”, he lamented.

According to him, the Federal, State governments and the security agencies have what it takes to stop the merciless killings and kidnappings ravaging the entire State.

“Nobody is safe in the State because everyone is living at the mercy of the bandits terrorizing the whole State,” he lamented.
