The senator representing Kano Central, Ibrahim Shekarau, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress and defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Former House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin, made the revelation on his Twitter handle on Wednesday.
He said, “Game over! Welcome to NNPP, Sen Ibrahim Shekarau.”
It had earlier been speculated that Shekarau was being convinced to join the NNPP by former Kano governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
