Senator Francis Alimikhena dumps APC, cites ‘injustice’ 

The Senator representing Edo North in the National Assembly, Francis Alimikhena has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In a letter dated May 27and sent to the APC National Chairman, the Senator cited “injustice” as a reason for his withdrawal.

“I write to notify you that I have withdrawn from the Primary election as a result of injustice and also withdraw my membership from the party,” the Senator said, according to Channels Television.

This adds to the list of politicians dumping their political parties for one reason or another.

One of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi, on Thursday resigned from the party and later decamped to the Labour Party.

Also, Aba South representative in the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has also dumped the main opposition party, reducing the strength of the opposition in the South East ahead of the 2023 general elections.
