SEA Empowerment Scheme: Farmers Receive Farming Facilities, Urged to Tackle Food Security

Over 100 participants, after undergoing professional training, under the SEA Empowerment Scheme, received certificates and farming equipment, including spray cans, various types of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and funds to enhance their farming processes.

The training and empowerment programme was organized by Honorable Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, Representative of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, in collaboration with the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), successfully concluded.

The programme, held at the traditional council chamber in Adogo, the headquarters of Ajaokuta, aimed to equip farmers with techniques in farming, fertilizer application, and machine usage.

Comrade. Ahmed A. Momohjimoh, Senior Legislative Aide, praised Honorable Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for initiating the program, which has created self-employment opportunities in the constituency.

Honorable Sanni Abdulraheem, represented by his legislative aide, encouraged participants to view the training as a means of achieving economic independence. He emphasized the need for food security and urged farmers to implement the training and utilize the provided facilities judiciously.

The Ajaokuta Federal Lawmaker promised to provide gigantic machines and professional operators, which farmers cannot afford in their micro-farming processes, to enable farmers to expand their farm activities in Ajaokuta LGA.

Yakubu Omuya Ahmed, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, appreciated the lawmaker’s transparency and accountability in utilizing constituency funds for empowerment programs. They commended Hon. SEA for fulfilling his campaign promises since assuming office.

The event was attended by representatives from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs. Florence Okiji, Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos, Engr. Abel A Joshua, Murtadho Husseinat, and Yahaya Zuleihat, representing Rad Bird Consultancy LTD, Facilitator Latifat Asipita Isah, Agronomist Ms. Rafat Onize Abdul.
