The Porto left-back sat out the team’s final training in Bouake on Tuesday night.
Sanusi has been battling with injury during the AFCON 2023 finals.
The defender has started four of Nigeria’s five games in Cote d’Ivoire.
Sanusi has come under heavy criticism for his tentative displays for the Super Eagles at the tournament.
Bright Osayi-Samuel and Bruno Onyemaechi are in line to replace him in the starting line-up against Bafana Bafana.
