Sanitation agency in Delta issues court summons to 18 premises

The Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, (DSCTDA), sanitation mobile court has issued a mobile court summons to 18 premises.

The five commercial and 12 residential premises summoned, would be arraigned on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Director General of the agency, Chief Patrick Ukah, said the agency has done all necessary formalities with all the magistrates to the five mobile courts.

According to him, one of the mobile courts at Okpanam would commence prosecution of landlords, occupiers and business owners of premises that contravene the sanitation laws.

The statement advised residents, occupiers and business owners to desist from dumping refuse on road medians and drains as the agency will arraign defaulters before the mobile court.

Recall that a press statement was earlier issued indicating that five environmental mobile courts have been assigned to the agency to sit in Asaba, Okpanam/Issele-Azagba, Ibusa, Ugbolu and Okwe respectively.
