The Director General Government House Administration, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu has expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty Allah who he praised as “the giver of all good things both here on earth and even in the world to come.”
Speaking from his house located at Ateba, Agassa in Okene Local Government Area after the Eid-Prayer in celebration of Sallah he said “Only Allah (SWT) is worthy to be praised and appreciated for making us and our loved ones to have the rare opportunity of celebrating yet another Sallah.”
According to Balogun Omeiza David (BOD), Media Aide to the Director General Government House Administration, the DG added that “those who are no more did not leave this world because we are better than them but that Almighty Allah so designed it for us to be alive and be part of this great religious celebration.
Speaking further, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu enjoined all the Muslim Ummah to remember that love and religious tolerance supersedes every other thing we think we can do here on earth as followers of Almighty Allah. He said, “the celebration of Sallah should ooze out the much love we have in our hearts towards our fellow human beings whether they be of our faith or not. Our ability as Muslims to tolerate others is part of what will set sail for us to work perfectly on our journey to eternity.”
Moving forward, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu heaped praises on the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello for contesting the Presidential Primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He said the governor has brought Kogi State and even the entire North Central into limelight, a feat no political figure from this axis has never dared to achieve.
In addition, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu submitted that the peace that we know have in Kogi State and especially in Kogi Central is the sole handiwork of the governor In his words “Gov. Yahaya Bello has shown clearly that Islam as a religion truly stands for peace and that is why we now celebrate festivals, go about our businesses and travel far and near within Kogi State without fear that rented the air before the arrival of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
The governor is well aware that when there is peace then, there will be security which make the people to sleep with their two eyes closed and that has been the case in Kogi State.”
Putting the icing on the cake, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu added that “There is no need toying with the fact that peace is sine qua non to development and that is why for the past one week and still counting Gov. Yahaya Bello has been travelling round Kogi State to check all the projects his administration has worked on and still working on.”
The Director General Government House Administration out of much joy in his heart said, “I am so proud and fulfilled to be working under a governor who knows his onions and bringing about the rapid development that once eluded Kogi State.”
