Safety of lives, property; KSU Kabba Sets up Security Committee

As part of ongoing measures to ensure continued safety and security of lives and property in and around the campus, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Kehinde Eniola on Monday 18th of March, 2024 inaugurated KSU Kabba Security Committee.

The initiative which is at the instance of Professor Eniola among other objectives aims to consolidate on the peaceful living and learning atmosphere enjoyed by members of the university community.

Speaking with journalists in Kabba, the Chief Security Officer of the University, Mr Samuel Olubato noted that the Vice Chancellor would leave no stone unturned in strengthening the committee towards achieving stated goals. He noted that his men were committed to upholding the mandate of the Vice Chancellor.

The committee consists of heads of security agencies including the military, the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, Department of State Services DSS. Other agencies include the Kogi State Vigilante Services KSVS, and Kabba City Keepers.

Mr Olubato also noted that the head of the Federal Roads Safety Corps FRSC is also part of the committee. The committee was inaugurated on the campus of the university.
