Roma appoint new manager after Mourinho’s sack

AS Roma on Tuesday officially appointed Daniele De Rossi as the club’s new manager after sacking Jose Mourinho.

The Serie A club confirmed this in a statement via their X account.

Roma had earlier dismissed Mourinho following a poor run of form with the team this season.

“AS Roma is pleased to announce that Daniele De Rossi has been appointed as the new Technical Manager of the First Team until 30 June 2024,” Roma tweeted.

“Welcome home, Daniele!”

De Rossi was an AS Roma player before his retirement from the game.
