Rodgers eyes Ndidi reunion at Scottish club, Celtic

Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers will look to bring in Wilfred Ndidi as one of his first signings at the club.

The pair worked together during Rodgers’ stint in charge of Leicester City.

Rodgers, who was sacked by Leicester City in the second half of last season, was announced as Celtic boss for the second time on Monday.

The Irishman has been handed a bumper transfer budget by the Hoops to compete with the best clubs in Europe.

According to the Daily Mail, the gaffer has identified Ndidi as one of the key targets this summer.

The 26-year-old could be open to the move following Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Nigeria international has one year left on his contract with the Foxes.

The defensive midfielder moved to the King Power Stadium from Belgian Pro League club, Genk, in a £17 million deal in 2018.

Ndidi was part of the side that won the FA Cup under Rodgers in 2021 and finished fifth in the table twice.
