Rivers United sign Ghanaian goalie, Mutawakilu from Rangers 

Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Rivers United have completed the signing of Ghana goalkeeper, Seidu Mutawakilu.

Mutawakilu, a former Ghana U-20 goalkeeper joined the Port Harcourt club from Rangers International of Enugu.

The 27-year-old penned a two-year contract with Stanley Eguma’s side.

Mutawakilu was Rangers’ first choice goalkeeper in the 2021/22 season.

He made 22 league appearances for Rangers last season.

The former Asante Kotoko SC, Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC goalkeeper moved to Rangers in 2017.

Mutawakilu was the first choice goalkeeper for Ghana during the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 and was also part of the World Cup squad in the same year.
