Relocate to your local governments – Kefas tells Taraba HOLGA

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has directed Heads of Local Government Administration, HOLGA, to return to their local government of origin.

He said this is to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency across the entire 16 local government councils of the state.

More to that, the move, he believed, would enable all the HOLGA to contribute to the transformation of their local government of origin.

The directive came on Wednesday during an interface with them in the Executive Chamber of the Government House in Jalingo, the state capital.

He directed all the HOLGA not to work in isolation but to work closely with the traditional rulers, the youths, and the critical stakeholders of their councils.

He urged them to work closely with people in their respective communities to identify where courts and other structures will be situated.

He warned them against seeing the decision as an opportunity to enrich themselves but rather see the move as an option to contribute to the growth of their various local governments.

Fertilizers and grains, as further stated by him, will soon be made available free of charge to all the rural areas of the councils to ensure bumper harvest across the state.

He charged them to identify more areas of revenue sources in their respective local government and block all forms of revenue leakages.
