The Labour Party has claimed that the Bashiru Lamidi Apapa faction of the party, which stormed the Presidential Election Petition Court on Wednesday morning, was disgraced out of the premises.
Earlier reported that Apapa and the faction of the suspended National Chairman of the party, Mr Julius Abure clashed during the court proceeding.
The court refused to recognize the two factions laying claims to the party’s national leadership.
In a tweet on its official handle, the party claimed that the Apapa faction was in the court to truncate the court hearing.
The tweet reads, “Rebel former Deputy National Chairman of Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa made true his threat to truncate the Presidential Election Tribunal by attempting to appear as representative of the @NgLabour at the ongoing hearing but was refused by the Tribunal. He was thoroughly disgraced”.
