RCCG Prays for Unity, Strength As Jamaica Marks 62nd Independence Day

As Jamaica celebrates its 62nd independence anniversary, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has offered heartfelt prayers for the island nation’s recovery and strengthening after recent hurricane devastation.

During a special service at the RCCG’s Throne Room Parish in Abuja, Pastor Tunde Benjamins-Laniyi led congregants in fervent prayers, seeking divine intervention for Jamaica’s rebuilding efforts.

congratulated the people of Jamaica on their 62nd Independence anniversary, saying that the enduring spirit of the Jamaican people has inspired many around the world, including Nigerians

“May this independence reinforce the unity and strength that will carry this beautiful nation, Jamaica forward,” he said.

The cleric during his sermon offered a message of hope and support, emphasizing Jamaica’s resilience and faith.

He said, “Our Jamaica brothers and sisters, know we stand with you in the place of prayers.”

In his sermon titled “How to navigate season for crisis” Pastor Benjamins-Laniyi said every nation goes through one crisis or the other at every point of their existence.

“We pray to the Almighty God to bring comfort and hope as you rebuild the nation. A new, stronger nation is coming out,” he said.

Earlier, the Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Lincoln G. Downer said his country and Nigeria share alot of historical bonds, adding that as High Commissioner, he will continue to work hard to strengthen and expand the bilateral relationship between both countries

He expressed joy that his country has captivated the world through the works of its people.
