RCCG Pastor’s wife reportedly kidnapped from her home in Kwara

Unidentified armed kidnappers struck on Thursday night at Elerinjare village near Idofian town in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State and abducted a woman.

The abducted woman was identified as Bola Ajiboye, the wife of one Pastor Johnson Ajiboye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, but her daughter who was in the house during the attack escaped unhurt.

The kidnappers reportedly struck at about 9pm amid sound of gunshots.

Reports said the pastor heard gunshots, only to discover later that his wife had been snatched from home while their daughter escaped.

The attack occurred a few days after a statewide stop and search security measure put in place by the state Commissioner of Police, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, to secure lives and property of citizens in the state.

The whereabouts of the abducted victim is still unknown as of the time of filing this report.

In a reaction, the spokesman of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, on Friday said no information had been received on the incident.
