Rangers turn to Maja after frustrations over Dessers pursuit

Scottish Premiership club, Glasgow Rangers have shifted attention to another Nigerian, Josh Maja after they were turned down by Cyriel Dessers.

The Gers were hoping to bring in Dessers as replacement for Colombian striker, Alfredo Morelos but the Cremonese man has rejected their approach.

Maja is out of contract at Bordeaux and according to The Scottish Sun could be an option for Rangers.

The 24-year-old scored 16 goals for Girondis Bordeaux last season but the club still missed out on promotion back to Ligue 1.

The forward was named in the Ligue 2 Team of the Season.

He has been capped once at the international level by Nigeria.
