Rainstorm Destroys 100 Houses In Plateau State

A  heavy rainstorm, early Thursday morning destroyed more than 100 houses in Jos North and Jos South local government areas of Plateau State.

Residents reported that the rainstorm, which began around 1a.m, lasted for about three hours and was accompanied by strong winds that blew off the rooftops of several houses, leaving many families homeless.

Several communities, including Jenta Adamu, Kabong, Angwan Rogo and Zololo junction, were significantly affected by the storm.

Emmanuel Ajang, one of the affected residents, described the incident as devastating and unfortunate, noting that his family has been left homeless and helpless.

Ibrahim Musa, another resident from Bauchi Road, said the storm had removed the gate of his house. He explained that they had experienced heavy rainfall on Thursday.
