‘Put security of the state first’ – New Jigawa NSCDC commandant charges operatives

The newly deployed Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Commandant in Jigawa State, Muhammad Danjuma, has charged officers to put the security of the state first.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Command’s spokesman, CSC Adamu Shehu.

The statement said the commandant made the call on Tuesday, while addressing the management and personnel of the Command shortly after taking over from his predecessor.

Danjuma (CC), took over from Musa Alhaji Mala who reached the mandatory retirement age of 60 as enshrined in the public service rules.

The newly deployed State Commandant was formerly the Head of Operations at the Zonal Command Head Office, Zone ‘N’ comprising Kano and Jigawa states.

He served in various capacities including Head of Operations, Disaster Management, Administration, Intelligence, Finance, and Anti-Vandal among others. He also worked in many states, including Nasarawa, FCT, Akwa Ibom, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Benue, Delta, and Plateau.

He is from Keffi LGA, Nasarawa State.

Danjuma equally promised to operate an open-door policy where positive submissions are welcomed.

He also warned against indiscipline, dereliction of duty and non-performance,

According to him “The Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Audi Abubakar, is passionate about our overall welfare and is working assiduously towards its improvement, as such we must reciprocate by working hard and executing the Corps’ mandate.”
