PRP guber candidate escapes snake attack days after assassination attempt in Cross River

Former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Usani was nearly bitten by a big snake yesterday outside his country home in his Mkpani community.

His media aide, David Agabi confirmed this when he spoke on phone, this was after confirmation of the incident in a social media post on Thursday.

Agabi explained that Usani who is the governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, in the state was taking a walk around his home in the community, at noon but did not quickly see the snake and almost stepped on the animal.

“The governorship candidate was in his Mkpani community in Yakurr LGA and was going out of his house. He almost stepped on the snake but missed it.

“People came around and killed it”, adding “This is one too many.”

Agabi asked, “what’s happening in Usani Uguru Usani’s life, after a failed assassination attempt; now is a snake?”

Last week, Usani reportedly escaped an assassination attempt on the Calabar-Ikom federal highway on his way to his hometown but two others were shot dead in the deadly encounter.
