A property buyer, Mr Elue Collins Asika, has demanded a refund of ₦24 million from Ochacho Real Homes Ltd over the alleged reallocation of two plots of land he said he had fully paid for.
Asika, through his solicitors, Madalla Chambers, reportedly gave the real estate company seven days to refund the money or face possible legal action.
According to the demand, Asika paid ₦12 million each for two 300-square-metre plots identified as Plot SD 26A and Plot SD 26B within the Ochacho Real Homes development.
The buyer alleged that after completing payment for the two properties, the plots were subsequently reallocated, prompting his demand for a full refund of the ₦24 million purchase consideration.
In a formal demand letter dated August 11, 2026, his lawyers reportedly maintained that their client was entitled either to the properties for which he paid or to a refund of the full amount.
The solicitors warned that failure to resolve the matter within seven days could lead to legal proceedings seeking recovery of the ₦24 million and other remedies that may be available under the law.
Asika has urged Ochacho Real Homes to resolve the dispute amicably by refunding the full amount, while reserving his right to pursue legal remedies if the matter remains unresolved.
The allegations have not been independently determined by a court, and Ochacho Real Homes Ltd has not been quoted as responding to the claims in the information provided.
The dispute highlights the importance of clear documentation, proper allocation procedures and compliance with contractual obligations in real estate transactions.
