President Tinubu Departs Abuja for Maiduguri, Borno State

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja to visit Borno State, where he will offer condolences and evaluate the impact of the recent floods in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The President’s visit comes after Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar earlier visited the state to assess the situation.

During his visit, Atiku Abubakar donated N100 million to assist the victims of the devastating flood that ravaged Maiduguri.

The flooding, caused by the breach of the Alu Dam, displaced over one million people.

The President returned to the country on Sunday night from trips to China and the UK.
