The Rivers State Police Command has re-arrested and paraded a young man, John Danjuma, for allegedly killing a former Director of Administration at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH.
Danjuma, arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, CID, was the gatekeeper of Boma Amaomu-Jumbo, the late UPTH director.
Newsmen learnt that Danjuma was previously arrested, detained, and arraigned by his boss for alleged theft. After spending time in prison, he was released on bail. He allegedly went to Amaomu-Jumbo’s home in GRA, Port Harcourt, and butchered her.
The deceased was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday (today) to give testimony in the case.
Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong, has promised to brief journalists on the details of the incident.
