Plateau governor-elect decries fresh killing in communities

Plateau State governor-elect, Caleb Muftwang has decried fresh attacks that led to the death of six persons at a mining site in Farinlamba, a community in Jos South Local Government Area.

The attack which was carried out by suspected bandits was condemned in a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the governor-elect, Mr Gyang Bere on Wednesday.

He appealed to security agents to fish out the perpetrators to face the full wrath of the law, stressing that such a heinous attack would not be condoned.

Muftwang further urged security agents to be proactive using everything at their disposal.

According to the statement, Muftwang described Plateau people as peace-loving, hence, further attacks would not be tolerated.

He appealed to peace-loving and patriotic citizens of Plateau and its environs to be committed to peaceful co-existence and unity for their maximum protection and safety.

Mutfwang admonished Plateau citizens to be conscious of their environment and alert constituted authorities of any strange movement around them for swift action.
