Pillars inaugurate committee to investigate match fixing in promotion playoffs

Kano Pillars have set up a committee to investigate the failure of the team to win its last two matches at the Nigeria National League promotion playoffs.

The five-man committee is chaired by Rabi’u Muhammad and Alhaji Bashir Baba Chilla as secretary.

The Sai Masu-Gida side lost their last group game 1-0 against Kastina United and also lost in the finals 2-0 to Heartland.

The results didn’t go well with the club’s hierarchy considering the calibre of players paraded by Kano Pillars tactician Evans Ogenyi.

Kano Pillars had sealed promotion to the Nigeria Premier League alongside Katsina United from the Northern Conference group.
