Peseiro reveals when Iheanacho, Moffi will arrive Super Eagles camp

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho will join the Super Eagles squad on Saturday, according to head coach, Jose Peseiro.

Iheanacho, who is recovering from a muscular problem, was not part of Nigeria’s pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations training camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 27-year-old was earlier scheduled to join the Super Eagles in Lagos on Tuesday but will now head to Abidjan this weekend.

Peseiro also provided an update on OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi.

Moffi was a late replacement for Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface, who has been ruled out of the competition after sustaining a groin injury in training.

The Portuguese hinted that Moffi will link up with his teammates in camp on Sunday.

“Moffi arrives January 14th because he will play on 13th with the team,” Peseiro told NFF TV.

“Kelechi arrives (January) 13th, we are in contact with the (Leicester City’s) physiotherapist, with the medical staff. We have contact with all the staff of our players. “
