PDP’s Bala Mohammed re-elected Bauchi Governor

The incumbent Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been declared the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the State.

The INEC returning officer, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, at the State Collation Centre, declared Mohammed the winner of the election on Monday after polling 525,280 votes.

Mohammed won over 13 local government areas out of the 19 LGA results in the State.

He defeated the candidate of the major opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd), who won in only six local government areas of the State, and scored 283,000 votes.
