PDP Summons Wike Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has been summoned to appear before its disciplinary committee over alleged anti-party activities.

The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed the development on Monday.

Wike has been issued a formal letter requesting his presence before the committee. This development comes on the heels of controversial remarks made by Wike.

Wike, who previously served as the Governor of Rivers State, was quoted as saying he will “put fire in states,” a statement perceived as a threat directed at PDP governors.

Abdullahi described Wike’s comments as “very disappointing” and said that they do not reflect the party’s stance.
