PDP Ex-Lawmaker Dumps Party, Joins APC

A former lawmaker of the House of Representatives, Nicholas Ossai has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ossai who represented Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency of Delta State between 2011 and 2023 defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Citing that the APC will give him the platform he desires to continue serving his constituents and Nigeria at large, Ossai said he was disappointed with the way things were going in the PDP.

According to the former lawmaker, the PDP now lacks vision needed for political progress with some members being envious of each other and cantankerous towards one another.

Ossai said in a statement, “After deep reflection and wide consultations with my family, political leaders, supporters, and associates, I have decided to resign from the PDP and heed the patriotic call to join the largest progressive family in Africa, the APC.

“I entered politics to work for positive change, to uplift the voiceless, and to attract development to Ndokwa, Delta State, and Nigeria. I believe in sustainable progress that will impact generations to come,” Ossai said.
