Paul Merson reveals worry for Liverpool ahead of next season

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has stated that he is “worried” for Liverpool following Sadio Mane’s departure.

Mane opted to join Bayern Munich from Liverpool a few days ago, completing a move worth around £35 million.

The Senegalese international signed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.

But Merson believes Liverpool could feel the effects of Mane’s absence, adding that his departure was a massive miss.

When asked how Mane’s departure will affect the Reds, he replied (as quoted by the Liverpool Echo): “Massive miss, massive.

“I worry for Liverpool because they have got an unbelievable manager, but people forget Mane was a big game player.”
