Panama Papers: ‘Saint’ Peter Obi saying things he doesn’t practise – Presidency

‎

‎President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has accused the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi of saying things he doesn’t practise.

‎

‎Onanuga, who mockingly called Obi a “saint,” accused him of fooling his supporters.

‎

‎Obi had claimed that if leaders had kept public money in banks, Nigeria would be very rich now and not know what to do with all the money.

‎

‎Reacting, Onanuga pointed out the Panama Papers, where Obi once hid offshore accounts and business interests while he was governor of Anambra State.

‎

‎He wrote: “Peter Obi likes to say things he doesn’t actually do. Remember the Panama Papers?

‎

‎”Peter Obi had undeclared offshore assets and business holdings when he was Anambra governor, as shown in the global leak reports.

‎

‎”And here, Saint Peter is giving his opinion, fooling his followers.”
