Osun: Ikpeazu salutes Adeleke, PDP

The Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governor’s Forum and Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has reacted to the victory of the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded gubernatorial election held in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Saturday.

It was reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in the early hours of Sunday declared Adeleke winner with a total vote of 403,371 to defeat incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes.

Reacting, Dr Ikpeazu, in a statement issued by Onyebuchi Ememanka, his Chief Press Secretary, in Umuahia, the state capital, on Monday congratulated Adeleke on his resounding victory in the gubernatorial election.

He stated that the victory was a clear testimony of the consistency of Adeleke and the preference of the PDP as a party of choice by Nigerians and most importantly, the power of a resolute people to determine the direction of their future.

Governor Ikpeazu saluted the tenacity of the Osun people and assured them that Adeleke’s tenure will bring forth an era of positive change.

He also congratulated members of the PDP across Nigeria, saying that the outcome of the Osun election was a signpost of what lies ahead.
