As Muslims all over the world troops out today after a long stretch of thirty days fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan to celebrate Sallah, Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu has congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah round the globe for a successful completion of the holy month set aside yearly to seek the face of Almighty Allah.
Speaking from the Aniebo Eid Prayer Ground in Lokoja, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu said, “I salute the entire Muslim Ummah from the bottom of my heart with much affection and respect, and wholeheartedly congratulate you on the successful completion of the holy Eid al-Fitr. Without any doubt in my heart, I hope the end of our fasting may lead to peace, serenity and well-being for our world, country and Kogi State as well as for the Islamic world and the whole of humanity.”
In addition, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu said, “On the one hand, it saddens us to be bidding farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, a holy exercise that lasted for thirty solid days. But on the other hand, our hearts are filled with joy as we reach the zenith of the fast which symbolizes all the positive attributes of humanity.”
He added that, “I make obeisance to Almighty Allah (SWT) the holy one who has enabled us to reach this Eid al-Fitr as well in good health and well-being. The onus now lies on us to always stand in awe before Almighty Allah (SWT). It will amount to nothing in life and in eternity should we observe the fast without having the fear of Almighty Allah (SWT) stamped permanently in our hearts.”
Furthermore, the erudite administrator said, “The season of Eid al-Fitr are always exceptional when we consolidate our unity and solidarity, when we revitalize our relationships coated in and out with the fear of Almighty Allah (SWT). A day of holy celebration of this nature when Almighty Allah (SWT) softens our hearts is geared to offer also important opportunities for us to cure resentments and make peace with all men in order for us to be cocksure of a blissful eternity on the last day.”
In conclusion, Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu said, “As part of totally fulfilling the injunctions of Almighty Allah (SWT) we should not neglect to visit and release gifts to widows and orphans in addition to our mothers, fathers and relatives during the Eid al-Fitr. As we continue to live and relish the joy that comes with the successful completion of Eid al-Fitr, let us not ignore the patients, the poor, the needy, and the elderly. I will be glad if we allow it to be registered in our hearts that Almighty Allah (SWT) will surely be the One to reward us when we share the blessings He has given us with those in need and extend to them a helping hand. I wish you all the best as we have jointly equipped ourselves with spiritual strength to live right from the Ramadan Fasting.”
