Onyedika set to join Belgian champions, Club Brugge

Nigeria midfielder, Raphael Onyedika is set to join Belgian Pro League side, Club Brugge from Danish outfit, FC Midtylland.

The 21-year-old was initially linked with a move to Serie A champions, AC Milan, but FC Midtylland turned down the Rossoeneri’s €4m offer.

FC Midtylland, according to reports in Belgium, have accepted Club Brugge’s €9m bid for the player.

That will make the FC Ebedei product Club Brugge’s most expensive singing.

Onyedika has been left out of training since Thursday as both clubs finalize details of the contract.

Club Brugge manager, Carl Hoefkens spoke about the player’s imminent arrival following his side’s 3-1 win against Charleroi on Friday night.

“I hope very soon,” Hoefkens replied when asked about Onyedika’s impending move to the club.

”I know his quality, so I’m looking forward to it.”
