“One of Nigeria’s most influential voices” – Tinubu hails Pastor Tunde Bakare at 70

President Bola Tinubu has applauded Pastor Tunde Bakare for his dedication to good governance.

The president made this known in a statement to celebrate the 70th birthday of the fiery clergy, who is also the founder of The Citadel Global Community Church.

In a statement sent to journalists by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Bakare for his service to the nation, describing him as “one of Nigeria’s most influential voices.”

Part of the statement read: “On this occasion, the President joins Pastor Bakare’s family, friends, and the Christian community in celebrating his profound impact as a religious leader and gadfly.

“As a co-convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), he was instrumental in leading civil demonstrations during critical periods in our nation’s history.

“The President recognises Bakare’s unwavering faith and relentless dedication to advancing vital causes for the betterment of society. He describes Pastor Bakare as one of Nigeria’s most influential voices.

“President Tinubu wishes him robust health and many more years of service in the Lord’s vineyard and in advancing our beloved nation.”
