One more resident dies from cultists’ attack in Ilorin 

Another victim of last Monday night attack by suspected cultists in Ilorin, Kwara State, has died of gunshot injuries.

Recall that a bloody attack was launched by suspected cultists at Omoda/Adangba quarters of Ilorin metropolis on Monday night which reportedly claimed three lives, including a commercial Okada rider.

The State police command, through its spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the development, however, said only one unidentified person was killed in the incident, which occurred between 8.45pm and 9.00pm.

He also confirmed the arrest of One suspect, while investigation is ongoing into the incident.

However, our correspondent gathered that one of the victims of the attack who sustained gunshot injuries, died on Wednesday.

Simply identified as Katibi, a resident of Abegunde Area along Adangba Road, he hailed from Ile Ogunoko compound in Ilorin metropolis.

Katibi, was until the bloody attack and his death, a vendor of cell phone recharge cards at the Omoda roundabout where the attack occurred.

A visit to the area revealed that normalcy has returned to the area, as residents have resumed their business and social activities following the bloody attack by the suspected cultists.
