Okada riders protest as task force seizes motorcycles in Lagos

Commercial motorcycle riders, also known as Okada riders, protested on Friday against the seizure of their motorcycles by the Lagos State task force team.

The protest followed the dislodgement of the Okada riders by the task force.

The task force had also seized their bikes and taken them into their van in the Alakija area of the state.

However, the Okada riders took to the street in response to the crackdown, setting a bonfire on the road as the van carrying the seized motorcycles departed from the scene.

Policemen arrived at the scene and deployed teargas against the protesters.
