Sporting Lagos head coach, Paul Offor is optimistic that his team can secure their first away win of the season against Abia Warriors.
Offor urged his players to believe in their ability to achieve the feat.
The young tactician said the team is desperate for an away win to improve their position on the table.
“It’s a good win for us, sometimes, you have to suffer to get the results in some matches,” he told the club’s media.
“I have always believed in the players as I always told them all we need is a victory on the road to help improve our position on the table.
“Hopefully we can get it done against Abia Warriors.”
The modest club secured a slim 1-0 victory against Katsina United on Sunday to halt their three-game winless run.
Sporting Lagos are 10th on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table.
The encounter between Offor’s side and Abia Warriors will hold at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
