Ododo Salutes Capt. Wada on His 74th Birthday

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has extended his heartfelt felicitation to the former Governor of the state, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada, as he celebrates his 74th birthday.

In a statement by Ismaila Isah,
Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Governor Ododo describes Captain Wada as an exemplary leader, admired for his exceptional vision and humility.

The Governor highlights Captain Wada’s steadfast commitment to the service of God and humanity, praising his significant contributions to the development of Kogi State during his tenure as governor from January, 2011 to January, 2016.

He also acknowledged Captain Wada’s enduring legacies, invaluable guidance and wise counsel which he noted continue to inspire the younger generation of leaders.

As Captain Wada marks another year, Governor Ododo wishes him a joyous celebration and prays for long life and good health, so he can continue to enrich and inspire more lives in his service to the nation and humanity.

Born on August 26, 1950, in Dekina local government area, Captain Wada’s legacy spans a distinguished career as an accomplished pilot and administrator in the Nigerian Aviation industry, and a remarkable tenure as the governor of Kogi State.
