Ododo Endorses Fashagba as Political Leader of Ogale/Aduge Ward

…Charges Him to Sustain Late Solomon Oyewale’s Political Legacy

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has formally endorsed Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba as the political leader of Ogale/Aduge Ward in Ijumu Local Government Area, urging him to provide firm, responsible and inclusive leadership while sustaining the political legacy of the late APC Chairman, Hon. Solomon Oyewale.

Governor Ododo made the declaration on Saturday during a condolence visit to the family, traditional institution and people of Aduge following the death of Oyewale, who he described as a committed party man, brother, political associate and an important stakeholder whose death was a painful loss to the state and the All Progressives Congress (APC) family.

The governor said his decision to publicly recognise Fashagba as the leader of the ward was informed by the strong relationship that existed between him and the late Oyewale, as well as his longstanding knowledge of Fashagba’s leadership qualities, political experience, mentorship and commitment to the development of the community.

According to Ododo, Fashagba, whom he described as his lecturer and mentor, possesses the experience and capacity required to lead the people of Ogale/Aduge Ward.

“Dr. Fashagba is my lecturer, my mentor and, without doubt, the leader of Ogale/Aduge Ward,” the governor declared.

He therefore urged the people of Aduge to respect and support Fashagba’s leadership, stressing the need for unity, peace, political stability and sustainable development in the community.

Ododo charged Fashagba not to shy away from the leadership responsibility entrusted to him, urging him to carry every member of the party along irrespective of differences.

He assured Fashagba and the people of the ward that the Kogi State Government and the APC family would continue to support them in advancing the interests of the community.

The governor also paid glowing tribute to the late Oyewale, describing him as a man whose contributions to the APC and his community would remain indelible.

He noted that although Oyewale had passed on, his values, sacrifices and political contributions must be preserved through responsible leadership, unity and continuity.

Governor Ododo further announced that the Kogi State Government had resolved to take full responsibility for the education of the late chairman’s children.

He assured the bereaved family that the appropriate government authorities would communicate the details of the arrangement.

While commiserating with the family, the governor described Oyewale’s death as a loss to the entire state, noting that the deceased was “part of us” and had remained an integral member of the political family and community.

He prayed to God Almighty to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and give the family, community and political associates the strength and faith to bear the loss.

The governor was accompanied on the condolence visit by members of the State Executive Council, government officials and leaders of the APC, as he conveyed the condolences of the government and people of Kogi State to the bereaved family.

The endorsement effectively positions Dr. Fashagba at the centre of political leadership in Ogale/Aduge Ward, with a clear mandate to provide purposeful, inclusive and unifying leadership while building on the political foundation laid by the late Solomon Oyewale.
