Odigie gives reason for Bendel Insurance defeat to Heartland

Bendel Insurance head coach, Monday Odigie has attributed his team’s defeat to Heartland to loss of concentration.

The Benin Arsenals suffered a 1-0 defeat against Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Wednesday.

The victory was the Naze Millionaires first win since the start of the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Austin Osayande scored the only goal in the game.

Odigie assured that the team will continue to improve to correct the lapses in the next game.

“We lost concentration at that moment and we paid for it,” he said in a post-match interview.

“We will continue to work hard and correct our mistakes.”

Bendel Insurance dropped to seventh position on the table following the defeat

The 2023 Federation Cup holder will face Sunshine Stars in their next league game.
