Odegaard becomes Arsenal’s highest-paid player with new contract

Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard has become the highest-paid player at the club.

According to The Athletic, Odegaard has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal until 2028.

“Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me.

“What we are doing right now as a club is special, and I want to be a part of that,” Odegaard said.

The Norway international is now in his fourth season with Arsenal, having initially joined on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021.

He was named the Gunners’ Player of the Season last term after a stellar campaign in which he amassed 15 goals – all in the Premier League – to jointly top the scoring charts from midfield.
