NYSC plays huge role in Nigeria’s election process – Bauchi Gov, Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has reassured Corps members of his government’s unwavering commitment to prioritize their safety and welfare.

The governor gave the assurance during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch “A” Stream 1 Corps Members at the permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state, on Tuesday.

Mohammed, represented by his Deputy, Auwal Jatau, noted the contribution of NYSC members to electoral integrity over the years, adding that his government remains committed to enhancing the scheme.

“Government appreciates the efforts of all the training agencies and hopes that the exercise will be more vigorous and penetrating than ever.”

“I want to assure you of the readiness of the State Government at all times to improve the lot of the scheme. There is adequate security on ground to ensure your safety. he said.

The governor added that NYSC had over the years impacted youths with a tradition of industry, hard work, patriotism, and loyalty in service.

He said it is evident that the activities of corps members have positively affected the socio-economic development of the country through community efforts.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Rifkatu Yakubu, stated that the orientation course aims to prepare corps members mentally, physically, and emotionally for their service year, with 1,276 corps members registered for the program, comprising 697 males and 579 females.
