NUJ Zone D Hails President Alhassan Yahaya’s Legal Aid Council Appointment

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone D (North Central), has congratulated the union’s national president, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, on his appointment as a member of the Legal Aid Council Board.

The zone, in a congratulatory message signed by its Vice President, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, described the appointment as a recognition of Yahaya’s integrity, visionary leadership and commitment to the journalism profession and national development.

According to the statement, the appointment also demonstrates the confidence reposed in the NUJ president’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice and promotion of access to legal aid in the country.

The zone expressed confidence that Yahaya would bring his wealth of experience, professionalism and leadership qualities to bear on the new national assignment, just as he had provided exemplary leadership to the journalists’ union.

“The officers and members of NUJ Zone D are proud of this well-earned recognition and pray that Almighty God grants you the wisdom, strength and good health to excel in this new responsibility,” the statement said.

The zone wished the NUJ president a successful and impactful tenure on the Legal Aid Council Board.
