Nothing Has Changed’, Fubara Reaffirms APC Membership

‎Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎Fubara stated this on Wednesday after inspecting the reconstructed Rivers State Psychiatric Hospital, which has been remodelled into a general hospital in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

‎The governor said reports and interpretations circulating on social media suggesting otherwise were false, insisting that he remained committed to the APC and its overall interests.

‎“I’m a member of the All Progressives Congress, and nothing has changed. People should stop using whatever situation they pick up from social media or their personal interpretation to present me wrongly. I have not gone anywhere. I remain a member of the APC,” he said.

‎Speaking on the hospital project, Fubara explained that the decision to remodel the psychiatric hospital into a general hospital followed the administration’s discovery of inadequate healthcare services within the area during an earlier inspection visit.

‎According to him, the nearest major medical facility available to residents was the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, which he described as too far for many communities in the area.

‎He said the government considered it necessary to establish a general hospital within the facility to cater to residents of Rumuigbo and neighbouring communities.

‎Fubara expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project, describing it as a fulfilled promise by his administration.

‎He said the hospital project reflected his administration’s commitment to prioritising projects that directly impact the lives and well-being of Rivers people.
